ABOUT TAMMIE - SOFTBALL TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
Tammie Watters (Gallis) played D1 college softball at Michigan State University from 1993-1997. She started all four years, playing in 220 games. She began as an outfielder, then moved to 2nd base, and finished her final two years at 3rd base. Tammie was part of rebuilding the MSU softball program which lead to its 1997 record-setting campaign. In her final year, MSU was ranked in the Top 25 for 10 straight weeks, making the first appearance in national rankings, climbing to #8. The program also earned its first ever bid to the NCAA tournament. Prior to MSU, Tammie, a native from Ferndale High School, played four years of varsity softball, being captain of that team for three years and earning several District, Regionals and an All State Honor. Tammie has assisted in several MSU camps & clinics since graduating from MSU. She has also coached with the Rochester Hills Little League, Rochester Rays, and the Motor City Hit Dogs organization.
"Tammie was an unbelievable competitor for us. She wanted to win as much as any player I have coached & she was willing to work for everything she got. To this day, she is a hard-nosed, no excuse making, get after it person. She has been, and will continue to be successful in anything she does." -- Jacquie Joseph, Head MSU Softball Coach
